Bottom seals come in several shapes. Most metal doors use a retainer channel that a T-style, bead-end or P-shaped seal slides into; many wood doors use a seal nailed to the bottom section. The technician matches the seal to your door and retainer rather than guessing.
If the retainer itself is bent or corroded, it may need replacing too. The technician can also check side and top weatherstripping, and whether the door closes evenly enough for any seal to work.
